Grundsätzliches
Dieser Artikel zeigt in Tabellen ab GoPal Version 3.0, welche Installationsdateien und -ordner mit welchen Dateien vorhanden sind, ihre Funktion und zwingende Erfordernis (oder nicht).
Zwingend erforderlich sind die folgenden Dateien (am Stamm bzw. Wurzelverzechnis im Installationsordner oder auf der SD-Karte, siehe Tabelle 0) und die Ordner 1 und 2 (siehe Tabelle 2!).
Nur wenn das Navi per Spracheingabe gesteuert werden soll, sind die Ordner entsprechend Tabelle 3 mit Inhalt erforderlich. Das Beispiel (rot) ist für eine deutsche Spracheingabe markiert.

Hinweis: Um Speicherplatz zu sparen, können aus dem Ordner 1 alle nicht benötigten Auflösungen und Sprachen gelöscht werden.
Zum Beispiel resultiert bei einer Installation für die deutsche Sprache mit der Screen-Auflösung 480 x 272 bei 4,3 Zoll ein Speicherplatzgewinn von ca. 140 MB.

Anmerkung: Das Telefonbuch selbst ist entweder auf der DVD im Ordner TVG (wenn explizit im Bundle erwähnt!) oder es muss käuflich erworben werden. Die Version 5.x kann auch über den Assistanten im Shop gekauft werden. Zusätzlich ist ggfs. die Telefonbuch-Applikation für Medion GoPal 3, 4 und 5 zu erwerben.
Um es auf dem Navi zu betreiben, muss der Ordner 15 (die Applikation) installiert werden. Des weiteren muss man einen Ordner TVG auf der SD erstellen und hier den Ordner: WHITE sowie die Dateien: BASE.CFG und LICENSE.INI hinein kopieren.

Skins
Neuere Skins werden auch in einen Ordner installiert, welcher eine Nummer ab 20 aufwärts hat. Diesen kann man sofort zusammen mit anderen Ordnern auf die SD kopieren, da die Installation von 0 aufwärts automatisch abläuft.
Mit der GoPal-Installsuite nach "Panik" lassen sich die gewünschten Ordner (0, 2, 3, ...) von DVD auf die SD-Karte kopieren.
